There was one minor issue I encountered and it could have been worse if the car was right next to me, but it's a summer evening so of course our windows are down. Though worth trying out, I may prefer to bring outside food and have a more enjoyable meal. For $11 we got a hot dog, onion rings, a small popcorn and soda. We opted to grab food at the concession stand. Tickets are $8.50 pp and the ticket attendant will ask if you brought outside food, if so you pay $6 for an outside food permit. The website says if you're seeing a family movie on a weekend evening in nice weather, to show up when the box office opens, at 6! I also didn't have to deal with concession lines. I came 45 minutes before the movie started (8:40 showing) and there were plenty of prime spots to choose from. I purposefully came on a Monday night, when it would be less crowded and it paid off. I saw The Lion King and it was one of the best movie experiences I've had since being a child. I am thrilled to have this drive-in an hour away from me. Concession stand sells everything from sandwiches to sides to pizza If your car battery does get drained an employee will come and charge your battery for you If you have a radio you can bring you may want to opt to use that over your car radio which may drain your battery If you bring chairs and want to set them on the ground you can only do so right in front of your car so come early and get a good spot If you have a pickup truck then put some chairs or an old couch in it to watch the show! No alcohol is allowed so don't get kicked out! We had a great time here and although we got tired by the time the second movie ended it is a great way to see two movies for cheap in a relaxed and private environment. Being that it is almost the end of May the first movie start-time was set for 8:20 pm, which is on the late side but simply necessary since it would be too light to start before then! We saw Deadpool 2 and Super Troopers 2 which were both comedies that we enjoyed. The show will start right after the sun goes down. You are given a concession stand menu and a bag for garbage then you can drive up and choose a spot.ĭepending on the month the first show may start earlier or later. You can choose which screen to drive up to, as they have two screens playing different movies. Also they do fun holiday events like trunk or treat! A fantastic business worth supporting.Īlthough drive-in movies seem to be from a by-gone era, I love that this is an option for Middle Tennesseans! It is $8.50/person for a double-feature. I would recommend anyone and everyone who wants a great night with family to come here. The staff there is wonderful as well.īeen coming here for over two years now (they are only off for a few months during winter but open on weekends year round otherwise and some weeks in summer). Coffee for adults and candy for kids in addition to an entire restaurant full of meal options all priced low. LOW priced extra large popcorn for only 5.50, giant 44 oz sodas for 3.75 and a menu two pages long of things to get. You get to be with family and spend quality time together and control the volume and temperature while enjoying great films! This cannot be beat these days at movie theaters. They earn the business.Īdditionally the pricing of the movie is so cheap at only 9.50 per adult for two movies in a night or 7.50 for kids. They treat you like family as well every time and will remember you and thank for coming. You get consistent positive happy and friendly vibes when coming here. They are a small family-owned business and it shows. New favorite family night activity.Ĭannot say enough positive things about this place. Another thing I didn't mention in my previous review was the cleanliness. I will DEFINITELY be coming back! This theater has such a family friendly feeling and I needed to applaud the workers tonight. The chicken sandwich was so good! I also got popcorn again and the brunette with glasses buttered it perfect! The brunette ended up giving me the order and told me to have a nice night. I wasn't even going to eat food I was just get a few snacks but I figured I'd give it a shot. The parking attendant even gave me some twine so we could watch out of the hatch of our trunk! This time, instead of going up before the movies started I went up about halfway through the movie, I was looking over the menu and apologized for taking my time and the tall blonde told me to take my time and even recommended the chicken sandwich when I couldn't decide. Once again, the same box office lady and parking attendant greeted me with such a great attitude. My last experience was a little different from this one and I thought I needed to re-write to give a shout-out. This is my second time visiting the Stardust Drive-In.
